| Isolated from soil, dung, paint, grasses, fibers, wood, decaying plant material, paper, textiles and cellulose materials. It is reported to be allergenic causing hay fever and asthma. Found on gypsum board, paper, paint, and tapestries in water-damaged buildings. May be identified on surfaces by tape lifts, tease mounts from bulk samples, and in air by culturable sampling. Rare subcutaneous tissue infections have been reported. There have been no reports of toxin production. |
