| Found on paper, jute, textiles, adhesives and gypsum board. Natural habitat is soil and decaying plant material. Also reported to be an insect pathogen. There have been reported cases of corneal ulcers and otomycosis. Production of toxins is not known. Reported to be allergenic. No information is available regarding inhalation effects or toxicity. May be identified on surfaces by tape lifts, tease mounts from bulk samples and in air by culturable sampling. |
