| This genus has been isolated from soil and dung. It can also be a persistent laboratory contaminant. May be identified on surfaces by tape lifts, tease mounts from bulk samples, and in air by culturable sampling. No information is available regarding toxicity. This organism is nonpathogenic to humans, with only a single case of a cutaneous infection reported. Allergenicity has not been studied. |
