| A reddish yeast typically found in moist environments such as carpeting, cooling coils, water tanks, humidifiers and drain pans. It is isolated from air, soil, water, fruit juice, dairy products, and other substrates. This yeast has been reported to be allergenic. It has also been found to colonize in terminally ill patients. |
