| Periconia Habitat and Health Implications |
| Found in soil, grasses, blackened and dead herbaceous stems and leaf spots, rushes and sedges. Periconia may be identifed in air on spore trap samples. It rarely grows indoors. Production of toxins and allergenic effects are not known. There was a rare case of Mycotic Keratitis reported. |
