| This fungus is soil borne and grows on living and dead trees causing wood decay. It is a large, very hard, woody bracket fungus. Many species are tested for medicinal uses including the treatment of cancer and as an anti-inflammatory agent. It has a long history of use in China and Japan as a semi-magical healing herb. |
